NEW R454B Refrigerant
Manufacturers were required by the government to retrofit all air conditioning and heat pump equipment lines to accommodate the R454B refrigerant as of January 1, 2025.
Distributors are allowed to sell any R410A systems remaining through December 31, 2025.
As of January 1, 2026, only R454B air conditioning or heat pump systems can be purchased and installed.
